Pam and Ross Fletcher were welcomed into REBUS at the AGM.

The speaker at the March meeting of the REBUS Club of Khandallah was Molly Staples-Clark, a Mammals Zoo Keeper at Te Nukuao Wellington Zoo. Molly spoke about how to look after a baby that’s taller than everybody. It was an unexpected challenge to care for Nia, a baby two metre Giraffe, when she and her mother, Zuri, couldn’t work out how to feed naturally. Those looking after Nia received lots of advice and data from Zoo colleagues all over the world to help navigate the process and ensure Nia and Zuri were as healthy as possible. Now Nia is one and a half years old and is thriving with the rest of her family.                                             (Photo Left - Taken by Molly Staples-Clark)
