The Onslow Historical Society Inc was established in 1968. For over 50 years they have researched, recorded, conserved and promoted local stories and major historical events. They have supported restoration projects, the registration of significant buildings, created a publishing programme and built a large and significant community archive. They meet in the old Khandallah Automatic Telephone Exchange. (Photo).

Speaker: David Hunt Technical Specialist, Dept of Conservation to speak on “Fire Management– some observations.”
Dave Hunt is a semi-retired Department of Conservation technical specialist with extensive experience in New Zealand ecology, forest mapping, predator control, fire management, and incident response across diverse landscapes and countries.
