A New Recycling Initiative:

Plastic Bread Bag Tags into Wheel Chairs

 

Bring the plastic tags that hold your bags of bread together to our REBUS meetings and Margaret Robertson will collect them for repurposing. Since 2006 a scheme has been running in South Africa to sell the bread tags to a plastic company that makes seedling trays. The funds raised are then used to purchase wheelchairs for those in need. People in New Zealand are now helping with this initiative and it would be good if we helped too, saving those tags from the land fill.
